World Beat Drum Circle
A hands-on experience utilising drumming to various world rhythms. Can include song and movement. This program promotes: Motor Development Skills, Primitive Stress Therapy, Understanding Polyrhythms, Creative Self-Expression, Community Building, Self-Esteem.

Roots and Wings
This workshop focuses on dance, bringing it into perspective as an integral part of life, tying in the relationship between musician, music, and dancer. We will instruct the students in some traditional Middle Eastern and African dance, as well as encouraging their own individual self-expression through creative movement techniques, Time permitting, we will choreograph a short dance with the students.

Planet Drum
This is an introduction to the drum as the oldest instrument in the world, excluding the voice. We will familiarise the students with various historical and modern day uses of the drum, both in Africa and as it spread to other parts of the world.West African, Afro-Cuban, Caribbean, Brazilian, Middle-Eastern and East Indian. Traditional stories of the drum will be used to help convey the teachings. The students will have an opportunity for hands-on participation by playing various percussion instruments.

World Music Appreciation (Ethnomusicology)
A global overview of various geographic areas and the components of it’s music and instrumentation. Demo instruments included for participants in the program. Also includes video and slides.

Voices of Our Ancestors
Theatre and storytelling are the subject of this section. We will describe the origin of storytelling, how it has been used over the years, and how people can learn to become a storyteller. We will then organize the students to act out various stories and therefore start the process of the development of folk-based theatre. Each of the students will have an opportunity to act in a play.

Drums not Drugs / Drums not Guns
Interactive experience utilising the therapeutic power of rhythm based music therapy. This program has proved beneficial for children, Senior Citizens, both the physically and mentally challenged, detention center and domestic violence cases.

Free Play
Learn the art of music theory and how to freely express your self through spontaneity and melodic improvisation.


                                  Programs can be specifically formatted to accommodate time and budget.
